For users experiencing loud fans on Yoga 710-14IKB and 15IKB systems, BIOS v.26 has been released. It makes minimal changes to fan speed and performance to reduce fan noise. It can be downloaded here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/download

If the fan consistently makes a humming or ticking noise the cause could be that the fan has a broken blade or a build up of debris. If the laptop is commonly used in an outdoor or dirty environment dust build up can be a common issue. In order to clean the fan remove the back cover of the laptop and spray with compressed air. After spraying inspect the fan for any damage and if the fan is damaged proceed to replace the fan. Link to replacement guide Lenovo Yoga 710-14IKB Fan Replacement

Open up the bottom cover of the laptop to where its components are exposed. Check the ribbon cable that is connected to the display. This may be bent, cut, twisted, or bent. Reconnect the ribbon cable to the display and the monitor should work again. If the cable is damaged, purchase a replacement.
