  • Before opening your laptop, make sure it is powered off.
  • Remove the ten 3.3 mm screws from the base cover using a T5 Torx screwdriver.

Step 2

  • Slide the plastic opening tool between the base cover and the frame to pry open the computer.
  • Slowly go around the entire perimeter of the computer until all edges are loose.
  • Make sure the plastic opening tool doesn’t go too far into the device.

  • Remove the panel and place it in a safe location.

  • Remove the six 3.5 mm screws surrounding the battery using a Phillips 00 screwdriver.

  • Using either tweezers or your fingers, disconnect the black battery cable by pinching either side of the connector and pulling towards the battery.

  • Carefully lift and remove the battery.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.

Your really good love watching how you take apart Samsung S5 me I want to take out my mother board

and replace it with a motherboard that recognizes Optus and also download the firmware which it cannot do right now

had it repaired stuffed the phone right up so not sure if I can do this as good as you have the tools

I have changed my battery and it won’t turn on. I followed all the steps and the changing light won’t even light up. My laptop with the old battery was working (only when connected). Not sure what to do next?
