- Please ensure that the laptop is turned off before beginning.
- Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the eleven 1/4" screws from the back of the laptop.

- Gently unclip and lift off the back cover.

- Using a Phillips #00 Screwdriver, remove the five 5/16" screws surrounding the battery.

- Using either tweezers or your fingers, disconnect the black battery cable by pinching either side of the connector and pulling towards the battery.

- Remove the battery from the computer.
Remove the battery from the computer.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

The cover does not come off “gently”- there are snaps all the way around that must be popped.

where do I buy a quality replacement battery?
I checked ebay and amazon, and there are a bunch of them. But I don’t know which one I should buy.

Did you find a suitable replacement? I’m curious too - looks like prices are $60 or twice that. Worth paying more than bargain basement prices?

Might work with #00 Phillips driver (haven’t tried yet), but they sure look like mini Torx heads on mine (star shaped).
