this doesn’t fix a non-working electric contact, does it?

I came across this page since my Yoga 2 Pro had 2 keys that didn’t press down very well. Instead of fully removing the keys, I used a flat tool to pry up the key a little bit, then used compressed air to clean out under the keys. I had to do this a few times from a few different angels, but it finally worked
and the keys feel like normal again.

Does this break the old keys so that you must replace them or is it possible to insert the same ones again?

For those who found this page in 2022, I’ll answer the old questions so you don’t have to look elsewhere.
This does not fix a non-working electrical contact, this is just for replacing the top.
Secondly no it does not break the old key if you do it carefully.
Kind Regards
